Psalms 139:1-4
"O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.”
God is a God of purpose and objectivity. He always has a reason for His actions. There is a purpose for which He created you. If your mission is not being fulfilled, ask Him to guide you, or request His help to remain on your path. We serve a God of boundaries. Despite His limitless capacity, endless creativity, and boundless existence, He chose to establish boundaries. He had a vision for what is good, right, pleasing, and perfect. As His children, made in His image, we are to live, think, and create as He does and not default to our own whims.
We serve a God who knows us even better than we know ourselves. From the foundation of the earth, God knew He would make us. On the day we took our first breath, He already had a perfect, pleasing plan for us. He’s known our every thought and looked upon our every action with grace. We could not be more known than we are by our heavenly Father, and there couldn’t be a better guide through the chaos of this life than the Holy Spirit.
By understanding your true identity, you will be more prepared to follow His guidance into His perfect and pleasing will. Jeremiah 29: 11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Discuss any insecurities with Him. Matthew 10:29-31 states, “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows”. Request a revelation from God about your calling. Romans 11: 29 “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.”Inquire about your role within your family and His purpose for you as a spouse, child, or parent. Seek His vision for your work and your relationship with Him.
He desires to help us view ourselves, the world, and the opportunities before us from His perspective so that we may gain wisdom and insight. Pose questions to God. Seek His guidance about your life and opportunities, and He will offer the leadership you need, precisely as you require it. It's never too late to uncover and pursue God’s plan for your life. At 65, Colonel Sanders founded the renowned restaurant KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) after retiring, which continues to provide generational blessings for his family even after his passing.
May you find freedom and joy as you receive vision and reset the boundaries of your life under the leadership of the Holy Spirit in Jesus' name. Amen
