As we come to the end of 2017, you can feel the excitement and anticipation in the air - a new year is coming! God turns the page and who knows what the year ahead will bring? He is the God of impossible things (Matthew 19:26); He established the world by His words and called the heavens into existence (Hebrews 11:3) and even now, every good and perfect gift still comes from Him. James 1:17
But for many, the end of the year signifies another chalk mark on the calendar; another year of unfulfilled dreams or a long awaited promise. The Psalmist in Psalm 119:81 and Psalm 119:82 laments about waiting for God and discovers his only hope is trusting the word of God for it will stand forever, it will not fail. Psalm 119:89-90. When will your prayer be answered? When will the change you desire happen? I promise you, God will keep His word; He will come through for you - and just on time.
Israel waited for the promise of Messiah and at the appointed time, He came. Simeon and Anna rejoiced to see the day. (Luke 2:29). Again, the day will come when Jesus will return - it will be at the right time, not too early and never late. Acts 1:11, John 14:3
What are you believing for? It will happen according to God's plan, according to His timing. Sometimes so subtly, change is already taking place like changing seasons. Other times, suddenly, like a thunderstorm, it breaks upon the horizon. Psalm 102:13
My prayer for you is that the coming year will be filled with breakthroughs: May God's plan for you be revealed and may He fight in your behalf. May all your dreams come through. In Jesus' name, amen. As always, I invite you to ask Jesus into your heart - no one should go through life without the help of his Maker and His Spirit's guidance. That is why Jesus came; He came to save you, just in time. All my love and prayers.
