Urgent Prayer for Military Family Facing Housing Crisis

I humbly ask for prayers for my family during a very difficult and frightening time. My husband is an active duty U.S. Army soldier currently deployed overseas, and we are in the middle of a PCS relocation while expecting our third child. We have two children already and another baby girl on the way, and we are doing everything we can to keep our family stable during this transition. For nearly a year we have been struggling to sell our home in Ewa Beach, Hawaiʻi. We went through several realtors and many delays before finally realizing the situation we were in and changing course. Earlier this year we finally experienced what felt like a breakthrough when we found a new realtor who truly listened and helped us get our home under contract with committed buyers. We believed our prayers were finally being answered. However, during the escrow process we discovered an unexpected obstacle. Because of interest that accrued during a previous mortgage forbearance period, our lender’s payoff amount increased significantly. As a result, we are now facing approximately a $36,000 shortfall required to close the sale of our home, and we simply do not have the ability to bring that amount to closing. Over the years we invested more than $100,000 in renovations and improvements to this home, believing that when the time came to sell we would at least be able to recover those investments and move forward financially stronger. Unfortunately, that has not been the case for us. The market conditions and circumstances surrounding our sale have already forced us to accept that we will be walking away from the home without the return we had hoped for. We had already come to terms with that loss, believing that at least we would be able to close the sale and finally release the financial burden of maintaining the property during our military relocation. Now learning that we may also need to bring $36,000 to closing has been an even heavier blow for our family. Despite the disappointment and hardship, we have accepted that our priority is to close this chapter of our lives. If we can successfully complete this sale, we know we will at least be able to walk away with our peace of mind and the financial burden of the property lifted from our shoulders, allowing our family to rebuild and move forward. We are currently under a 30-day escrow timeline, and although there may be a short extension available, the window to resolve this situation is closing quickly. If we cannot close this sale, the transaction could collapse and place our family at risk of defaulting under the purchase contract while still carrying the financial burden of the home during our military relocation. This past year has been filled with stress, financial pressure, and uncertainty as we have tried to manage the home, prepare for our relocation, support my husband during deployment, and care for our growing family. We have been praying constantly for guidance and relief, believing that God would help us find a way through. Just when we thought we had finally reached the breakthrough with a committed buyer, this new obstacle appeared. We are asking for prayers for a miracle and for God to open a path for our family. Please pray that the financial gap needed to close this sale will somehow be resolved, that the transaction will complete successfully, and that our family will finally be able to move forward free from this burden. We pray for protection over our home sale, for peace in our hearts during this stressful time, and for divine provision to help our family overcome this crisis.
